Return Policies


Starting a return?

  • Access your account using the email associated with the order by clicking the red button in the upper right hand corner or by clicking here
  • After selecting the appropriate order, follow the instructions and select the items you want to return
  • You will get a confirmation email with the shipping guidelines once the return request is approved

Return Fees

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • You are responsible for return shipping.

What items are returnable?

Online returns must be recieved by The Midwest Girl within 30 days of delivery.

  • All items must be unwashed and unworn. 
  • Any items with deoderant, perfume, makeup, pet hair or any other product stains or scents are not returnable. Customer will incur shipping costs to have the attempted return sent back to them. If the customer fails to pay the invoice within 5 business days, the merchandise will be donated.
  • All sales are FINAL on all FINAL SALE items, mugs, candles, drinkware, can coolers, hats, stickers and socks.
  • No returns on donated or contest merchandise. However, we will honor size exchanges.
  • Returns cannot be made at The Midwest Girl if item is purchased at one of our retailers. Please see store of purchase for return/exchange policy. 
  • Please note The MWG does monitor customer returns & will reserve the right to deny future purchases/returns/exchanges

How soon will I get my refund?

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If you are approved, then your refund (less the original shipping charge) will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to the original method of payment within 10 business days. Likely it is much sooner!
  • Please note: If your order qualified for FREE shipping and a return would bring your order total less than $75, the original shipping charge is subject to be deducted from your refund. 

Looking to exchange?

  • At this time we do not offer online exchanges. We are able to process exchanges in store.
  • If you are wanting to receive a different size/style, you will need to submit a new online order.
  • You can then follow the steps above to return the item(s).

Promotions/Discounts

The MWG reserves the right to refuse orders that repetitively use one time use discount codes. Welcome codes are a one time use per customer & therefore shall not be used more than once per customer. These orders are subject to be declined at the discretion of The Midwest Girl. 

If you wish to return the lesser expensive item from a Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion, please note that the item was provided as part of a promotional offer. As such, it holds no standalone value for a refund. However, if both items from the promotion are returned together, we can process a full refund for the paid item, provided it meets our return policy criteria.

Holiday Exchange Policy

  • Holiday exchange policy is in place October 15th-December 24th
  • Any purchases made during this time are eligible for an exchange through January 31st with a receipt
  • Please note that any items that were purchased as FINAL SALE are not eligible for exchange
